      Free membership to the facility. Many folks who worked there did so for the membership. It's one of the "diamond" level clubs so it's a great value

      There was a whole thing where the rock climbing portion of the business was originally operated by a 3rd party who is now defunct. They don't care about Rock Climbing, but it's cheaper to keep it operating than to tear it down.
