Svantaggi
My experience with Lifestyle Medical Center was very limited, exceptionally poor, and needs to be shared. I accepted a full time position despite not being offered my desired salary, no concessions for further PTO, and an employee contract that made me feel uneasy, but I was excited to further my career into outpatient counseling – a career goal of mine since college. I was asked to wait 6 weeks to start employment, which I agreed to when I accepted the position. Approximately 2 weeks prior to my start date, I was emailed asking if I would be willing to push back my start date further for their business needs, but I declined. Also, when I accepted the position, I was to work full time at one single clinic, but that was quickly changed to a different location for half the week and then at an outside clinic for the rest of the week upon the first few days I was there. I questioned if this would potentially affect earning potential through their bonus structure. To my surprise and utter disbelief, at the end of the first week of training, I was let go. The reasons that were given to me for not continuing employment did not add up and included that I was not cut out for outpatient counseling, although my counseling skills and abilities were not evaluated as I only observed others during this first week. I also was told that I made a bad impression on the CEO during a surprise and very brief interaction, which also played into my termination. I want my experience to be known so that others can make a better informed decision about working for LMC, especially because it seems that their ideal employee is a new grad who will not ask questions and that they can pay less.
