Not as bad as other minimum wage companies. You might actually get a lunch break. They pay for your gas when driving for work. Some people might like working with kids, but...
Svantaggi
I'm not opposed to hard work, but as a Lifetouch Photographer I often find myself in inhumane circumstances caused by poor scheduling and little concern for the worker's needs: Once you start photographing, you are typically rushed because the amount of kids you are expected to photograph is next to impossible for the amount of time booked. This means a long grumbling line of kids and sub par smiles and photos. Then at the end of the day, after you've stood for hours doing the same thing over and over, you get to spend an hour or more packing up, and an hour or more driving back. Overtime is expected and unavoidable nearly every week. There are no raises for staying with the company. The starting pay is the staying pay. It is not a job you can survive on for the long haul. Lifetouch offers some mileage compensation for wear and tear on your vehicle, but it's not actually enough to cover regular maintenance costs (oil changes, tire rotations), which are directly caused by and increasingly more necessary by the mileage put on while driving for Lifetouch.
