Svantaggi
The new US COO is directionless and has no vision, and she does a very bad job of hiding it. 3 members of her leadership team have left in the last 2 months, on top of that people are jumping ship after bonus season at probably 3-4x the rate as any other year I've seen...just a testament to how little faith employees have in a leadership team that lies through their teeth about the state of the company. During one all hands meetings the COO explicitly said she terminated a beloved VP for performance only a month after her vertical exceeded annual group KPIs, which she herself announced on an all hands about a month prior...does she think we wouldn't remember? Can you say personal vendetta? In other cases VPs leave on their own terms (probably due to being unable to stop the car crash) and she doesn't even have the guts to announce their departures. The rank-and-file employees have to find out via gossip and back channels. Same goes for entire teams being laid off, not a single mention of restructuring or re-orging during opportunities to discuss them. Good leaders don't shrink from bad news, they stand up, defend their positions, and build trust through owning the strategy and vision. Leadership must think we are all too dense to notice the trend because they have convinced themselves that we are all buying the nonsense being sold to us...the attrition says otherwise. Once an incredible place to work under Kevin Smith, the company culture is now dead and the organization is hemorrhaging talent left and right, and nothing short of a change in leadership will fix that. I feel sorry for Kevin that his legacy has been ripped to shreds and replaced with whatever culture (if you can even call it culture) this is.
