My experience was quite disappointing. While the company is marketed as a cutting-edge AI solutions provider, the reality is far from it. Dysfunctions in the company are passed off as typical start-up growing pains, but the root of the problem stems from a lack of effective leadership. A multinational company of 175 employees that's been established for over 7 years is NOT a startup. Several senior managers are clueless about their roles, leading to a significant disconnect between the company's vision and the teams' objectives. This disconnect often led to confusion and frustration among employees. The company also seemed to have a habit of laying-off staff and hiring cheaper backfills, which seemed counterproductive in the long run. The constant layoffs created a sense of instability, and many employees felt like they were always walking on eggshells, never sure if their job was secure. The lack of transparency about the company's goals and direction also made it challenging to stay motivated. Overall, I would not recommend working at Lilt unless significant changes are made to the company's leadership and culture. The AI solutions may be impressive, but it's challenging to succeed as an employee when there is so much dysfunction within the company.
