Svantaggi
I worked at Lingxon for a little over a year as a Lead Engineer, and unfortunately it was one of the most challenging professional environments I’ve experienced. The biggest issue was management. Expectations were often unclear or shifting, and there was little to no structured onboarding or training. Engineers were frequently left to figure things out on their own without sufficient guidance or support, which made it difficult to succeed or align with leadership expectations. The company culture was heavily driven by emails and meetings, often to an excessive degree. Instead of facilitating progress, this sometimes created confusion and slowed down decision-making. Collaboration across teams felt more reactive than coordinated. A particularly concerning pattern was the emphasis on assigning blame rather than solving problems. For example, there were situations involving delayed procurement where I was asked to provide email evidence to demonstrate that engineering was not at fault. This kind of approach discouraged trust and accountability across teams and created an unhealthy working dynamic. Additionally, leadership behavior contributed to the negative environment. The company president would at times raise his voice and yell at employees during meetings, both in person and over video calls. During one all-hands meeting, he acknowledged this behavior and apologized, attributing it to how much he cared. However, this did little to change the overall tone. The culture overall felt very pressure-driven. Management frequently pushed employees to apply that same pressure to peers, vendors, and subcontractors, which further reinforced a tense and strained work environment. Overall, I found the environment lacked clear communication, supportive leadership, and a collaborative culture. While there may be opportunities for improvement, my experience was largely negative.
