Vantaggi
The creative team (now Arcade) is an extremely welcoming group of people. I experienced a great deal of both career and personal growth while working at Liquid. An experience I'm very grateful for.
The overall environment is fast-paced and often you'll work on multiple projects at once. For me, that was a big positive. I enjoyed that each day was a bit different than the one before it. Brainstorms were more about "yes and..." and less about "no, not that," which helped us find the best ideas together. That said, be ready to dive in, don't sit on the sidelines waiting for that perfect moment - just shout it out.
I also enjoyed building real relationships with clients - from meetings to emails to phone calls - the creatives are given time with the clients to really understand the needs, expectations, and goals of a given project. It's not just "they asked for X, give them X." but rather, "How can we take this to the next level for them?"
It can get loud, there are Nerf guns, and you'll never go hungry because there are always snacks on hand. All things I loved.
Svantaggi
Internal approvals on projects or decks from upper management can be delayed because multiple projects will be in-process at once.
A tough place for on-site education in an entry-level role. Often, with the team working on multiple projects at once, there wasn't time for experienced teammates to educate entry-level employees.
I commuted from the valley, which was 75 minutes or so each way. That's not a con for Liquid + Arcade, but rather a warning - like any job in LA... be prep'd for the commute.
