I didn’t have many concerns until late 2024, when a leadership change shifted the tone of the workplace. The new manager seemed to take issue with my communication style, and rather than fostering collaboration or offering clear expectations, interactions became increasingly discouraging. Despite my efforts to adapt and support the team, I was met with dismissiveness and inconsistent feedback. There was a strong emphasis on giving grace to others, yet I didn’t feel that same grace was extended to me as I tried to adjust. When I sought support through HR, I felt unheard and invalidated. The experience left me questioning my value after years of dedication. It’s heartbreaking to say, but one toxic dynamic overshadowed what had been a genuinely fulfilling and positive journey. I loved working for Driveway and believed in what we were building. I hope future leadership can restore the supportive culture that once made this company so special.
