Vantaggi
No contracts for producers which made it easy to quit -roy ramos is the man -good food options in break room
Svantaggi
- the most toxic station in the industry. I was regularly screamed at by coworkers over trivial matters. I was literally told to stop being so friendly and to stop smiling so much. -executive producers will not fill in on shows. They will make a single producer produce 3 hours before lifting a finger. -always short staffed. I actually got called in on my first very first week, on christmas effing day. -salary pay (very low). Means you don’t get OT, and instead get comp days. This is abused to the max as you had to fill out a piece of paper to get a comp day and hope the ep remembers to enter it into the system. If you manage to work that out, you won’t be able to use them anyways since they are so short staffed. -the quality of news/journalism here is probably the poorest i have ever seen. My ep’s basically only let the ap’s write stories in my show. These ap’s were untrained rando’s with no news or writing experience, some of whom did not speak english all that well. This means fact errors and spelling/grammatical errors are constantly going out over the air. -questionable ethics and safety. Many stories reporters do violate every ethics principal in the book. One of the reporters got shot at and instead of telling him to leave and get somewhere safe, they made him do more live hits from the same spot. -low pay. I was hired at $55k with no overtime. I couldn’t afford to rent anywhere. -no opportunities to move up at all. -they never filed my taxes so i ended up owing $800
