Company stresses and strongly supports the work-life balance, evidenced by the very popular 9/80 work schedule, flex-time and some telecommuting options. Collaborative, virtual and mobile/wireless work environments on the campus are some newer initiatives that are currently in their infancies (subject to government/program security requirements).

Current economic environment has LM-SSC downsizing. LM-SSC targets senior staff and senior level positions with the expectation that staff and associate level positions can/will step up to fill the more senior vacated positions at a lower cost to the company. While the corporate and company executive management appears to adhere to the corporate ethical values, that does not appear to be the case at the entry through director levels of management, especially during this volatile economic period.
