Vantaggi

Fully remote with an option to work in office if you're local

Svantaggi

so much turnover, frequent layoffs - and the people getting laid off are often doing a good job. Zero feedback for employees they aren't happy with, they just ignore you, the term "quiet firing" describes this place perfectly. You can feel it when nobody likes you, yet they won't talk to you about why. The company is full of so many "yes men" (and women) internal referral hires, people who have worked together forever and all just support each other and their ideas. Don't dare trust anyone you talk to is on your side, they'll throw you under the bus instantly. But if you're in the team of inner circle employees you probably love it which is why you stay there so long and never seem to be on the layoff list.

Vantaggi

Some people were great to work with, but that was all.

Svantaggi

I want to be upfront: I was pushed out of this role after refusing to install Slack on my personal phone and being told I wasn’t “available enough” outside of 9–5. Make of that what you will. My manager was a textbook micromanager, reviewing every piece of work, inserting herself into every detail, while openly insisting she wasn’t one. She wanted me to updated her every-time I completed something I worked on, no matter big or small…everything!! My formal review reflected none of my actual work and included no supporting examples for any of the feedback given. When I pushed back, the message became clear: put in your notice. A few things prospective employees should know going in: • Work-life boundaries are not respected. There’s an unspoken expectation that you’re reachable around the clock. If that’s not for you, it may be framed as a culture fit issue. • Job security is shaky. Layoffs and exits happen frequently and without much explanation. Don’t assume tenure protects you. • Performance feedback can be arbitrary. If it’s not documented and specific, it’s hard to improve or defend yourself. There are better companies out there that treat boundaries as healthy, not as red flags. Do your due diligence before accepting an offer here. I worked at my last company for 9 years and never had an issue with management, actually quite the opposite, I had survived 5 rounds of layoffs through the years cause of how valuable I was at the company. This place didn’t even give me a chance before they pushed me out.
