More corporate politics than most places. Blatant favoritism gets you promoted from the top down. This is not an innovative company, R&D has not been an priority/focus. Upper management are typical old time white Europeans, once the merge is done they are probably gonna take the cash and go. Overall it doesn't feel like anyone care about the people working here. Middle management does not contribute much to the company, most of them are just people who stuck around long enough to get promoted into a managerial role. Pay is on the lower end.
