Working at Lyon Shipyard was a disappointing experience dominated by a toxic culture fueled by gossip, favoritism, and poor leadership. The waterfront operated more on rumors than facts, creating an environment where misinformation spread faster than official communication, leading to confusion, mistrust, and unnecessary tension among employees. Important updates were often learned through word of mouth rather than from management, who lacked transparency and professionalism. Advancement was rarely based on merit and more often on who you were friendly with, while leadership constantly operated in crisis mode instead of building systems to support long-term success. Overall, the unstable, rumor-driven environment made it an unhealthy place to work, and I would not recommend Lyon Shipyard to anyone looking for a respectful and growth-oriented workplace.
