Internal systems need a massive, painstaking overhaul. Too many silo databases that result in consolidations / reconciliations becoming a nightmare. Management was underway with an effort to begin such a consolidation, but the sheer volume of data and duplication across segments and their own specific in-house reporting standards mean this will take a long time to fix properly.
