In my experience, the company operates with very strict policies that leave little room for managerial discretion or trust-based decision-making. While I appreciate the emphasis on accountability, some policies can feel unnecessarily rigid. For example, employees are required to provide a medical certificate for a single day of sick leave, whereas many companies only require documentation for longer absences.
