Vantaggi

Flexibility - Convenient when you’re updating your résumé during lunch Unpaid interns like it

Svantaggi

Age and experience seem like liabilities here. The people who literally built this place have been dismissed one by one, without ceremony or accountability. It’s hard not to notice who’s gone, and what they had in common. The company’s rolling layoffs raise serious questions about whether they're being used to disguise a pattern of bias particularly toward older, more experienced employees. It is an organization that has too much process and a**-kissing to be considered functional, much less good. A company that does neither storytelling nor technology well as evidenced by their 143 page decks that tell clients what they already know. Alliances and a loud voice are valued more than institutional knowledge, critical thinking or talent. The CEO loves to talk about yoga and mindfulness presumably to help soften the stress of ruining livelihoods and lives. Clients are noticing. Strange how replacing experienced staff with cheaper hires affects client relationships and work quality. As marketers, we harness the power of perception which is how Merge just won an Agency of the Year award. A gutting, instead leveraging, of the brain trust

Vantaggi

My experience at Merge has been very positive. The leadership team is consistently focused on the growth of both the team and its individual members (and clients). It's a very flexible environment with a strong emphasis on client service and supporting their unique goals.

Svantaggi

None at this time - This is a positive work environment!

Vantaggi

No pros since we've had this new leadership team. So much potential, but going no where with all these new people who have no idea how to run a business.

Svantaggi

I've seen a lot of change over the years, but this new executive leadership team is by far the worse MERGE has ever had. The leadership team has tripled in size over the past year, but we can't seem to win any new business and some of our current clients are leaving us as well. It's evident to our clients that we can't get our act together. In addition to that, MERGE has been quietly firing some really talented people. They've been replaced by people that don't know what they are doing. This has led to other staff members having to take on the additional responsibilities. New leaders have made it clear that they only deal with high level responsibilities and demand their staff to figure everything else out. Unfortunately, no one will question or ask for help anymore as getting fired will always be the outcome. Morale is at an all time low and it's no longer worth going into the office. They do not value their employees and it's blatant with all the benefits and perks they've cut back in the last few months.
