Vantaggi

The techs and laborers doing the actual work are some of the best people you will ever work with.

Svantaggi

The CEO is an angry, arrogant, and spiteful person. He provides zero guidance and spends his time attacking and slandering his employees at all levels of the small company of less than 30 people. The term, “Public flogging” has been used often. This company is based in Columbia, SC and improperly has a 3 star rating because of the parent company in Italy. All the 1 star ratings are for the US based company and can be directly attributed to the CEO. For anyone being considered for the VP/Program Manager role my advice is: run. The CEO is the kind of psychopath who will lure you in seeming completely friendly and amiable and then one day a switch will flip and he will be your worst nightmare. You will constantly be attacked for failing to meet expectations that were kept secret from you. You won’t be trained and you’ll be working through a minefield laid by past disgruntled employees. This company of less than 30 people recently hired more than 20 people but lost even more. The turnover is that bad and again, it all points back to the CEO. His behavior has paralyzed the Exec team. If you are the one to push back against his behavior like me you will become his number one target.

Vantaggi

The crew I worked with was awesome and we all got along great.

Svantaggi

You have a company that is contracted to do track compliance testing for the FRA and not even one person on the car knew how to use a string line. Also didn’t know how to accurately take gauge measurements. We got out to check a gauge defect and I told them I would delete it due to gaps between the rail and plate and also roll over. Everyone laughed at me and told me I was wrong. I stood my ground and told them they needed to read the 213 book again. At the end of the day they told me I was right. You think you would see management since that car is there only money maker but no you don’t see anyone. Nothing gets done but they all have 50 plus’s teams meeting a day discussing pointless things. The thing that put me and the rest of the guys I worked with over the edge was when they said that we were going to be required to work 20 hours a week from home on our off week. Like we already work 3-6 weeks away from home at a time and now they wanted us to work when we were home? That was it. 2 of us walked off the job that day. Another one left the following week. Also when I was there they had been operating for 4 years I think and had not completed 1 successful test for the FRA in that time.
