Vantaggi
Met some very bright mind there, and made some good friends too. Gave me chance to understand what I like and what I don't of the tech industry in general (with a lot of good examples of what NOT to do). Some (really) good managers passed by but in a context like that, where decisions are made without a real evaluation of the outcomes, they were powerless. Few years ago it was promising and I grew a lot, but today there's zero advantages in joining a company like that, only disadvantages and risks.
Svantaggi
Founder(s) has zero business/tech/product vision and experience but an immense ego (he's a former VIP) that crushed the rare C-level(s) who tried to do the right thing, and this is THE original sin of the company. Current CEO is a puppet of the Founder (understandably) so nothing really changed, except an unhealthy amount of turnover in the prod/tech leadership and other critical roles. Company is not scaling, it never did and now is kinda late I'm afraid. Multiple budget cuts have been made to save the company financials, reaching a point where nearly half of the business/prod/tech team is not there anymore (most of them were developers working as consultants for us and they have been fired). On top of that, technically, the product is really poorly made (shared guilt between prod and tech but with a top management changing idea every 3 minutes and without any tech literacy, that's what happens)
