Where to start? The communication with management is terrible, when they need you they won't hesitate to contact you. If you need to contact them, don't bother. I was left for an hour in the middle of Cheshire with no transport home past midnight, and nobody from management would pick up. Expect to have shifts cancelled at the last minute. this one happens all the time. Imagine you've planned your day, cancelled plans, etc. You're getting ready to leave and management rings up to tell you that your shift has been cancelled. Infuriating. Sometimes you'd have to wait until you've arrived at the coach station or venue for them to let you know. you'll quickly learn that the culture within is to do the bare minimum. This is because hard work isn't recognised by management. Therefore, staff from venues have low expectations and you are judged from the minute you get there. Overall this job is demoralising, management is ignorant to staff wellbeing and there is an inherent toxic culture.
