They pay far below in comparison to other hospitals. For instance most hospitals pay 14% in leu to part timers but they pay only 4%. Also their starting point is much less. You are also given a heavier work load, one service assistant is in charge for 3 full units/pods and is expected to restock everything and answer to what the nurses want etc. Its alot and if nobody comes in for a few days before its a disaster. you will be doing triple the work with no help or extra pay. Linens will be over filled in every single room etc. this is common even in other departments. People complain of heavy work load.
