Really messed up management vision. Always chasing after a shiny new market trend while leaving dirty trail of serious issues behind with a highly unpolished product that put enormous pressure on Account Managers and Technical Support Engineers. Highly egoistic and unprofessional leaders, especially the CTO, who would discriminate based on what time you arrive in office, constantly question your work ethic and integrity, had really bad communication skills (he'd never let you finish an answer even when he asks a question himself and then assume something else to jump onto a false conclusion), and try to be a whip-cracker for getting work done instead of inspiring and leading Engineers with patience and influence. The CEO was great at communication, so much that he always sugar coated the culture at the company and convinced the Teams about the significance of chasing after a new lucrative market trend. When given a feedback about the need to fix and stabilize the existing platform, he'd listen to it but never approve of investing time in it. The only people that were made to feel valued are those who blindly followed the leadership without ever questioning it and brought in revenue at any cost.

I was given many opportunities to learn and grow, and felt that my contributions were always working toward a goal larger than myself. We were rewarded/recognized at the beginning. Co-Workers were all amazing as teamwork thrived for our clients. Work-life balance was very good while working remotely.

Clear communication never came from leadership about the state of the company and our growth, or lack thereof. I felt I was pouring spoonfuls of water out of a sinking ship throughout my final year with the company. Hard work became less rewarded/recognized.

The company is not at all what it used to be. Leadership has no idea what the crux of the issues we face are and instead micromanage us constantly. It’s less about the quality of the work and more about getting dollars in to temporarily keep us afloat. Constant product issues make it difficult to get work done and there is no clear value proposition anymore. Layoffs are now a norm here, including quietly laying off team members throughout the year.
