Vantaggi
The money is great and the environment is fun. My coworkers are fantastic.
Svantaggi
Managements lack of communication has gotten me wrongfully terminated twice. They force servers do to hours worth of side work at tipped minimum wage and will not hand over that days tips until it is completely finished, not paying training shifts ($14/hr) or banquet shift ($26/hr), and if you receive a gift card tip it will not be considered a tip and therefore you’ll never receive it. Management hands out write ups to be petty then plays favorites in retaliation. The employees they like get to stand around doing nothing all night but the employees they don’t like get micromanaged and yelled at publicly over the radios everyone in the building has to wear. They sent home a 8month pregnant coworker that sat down for a few minutes because “it looked like she didn’t want to do her job”. They allow another new mom go pump but still sit her section while she’s gone then get mad when the customer complains. Management will go hide in laser tag or the sales office to take naps in the middle of a rush or just go play in the story rooms. They only come out to yell at everyone for 5 min then go back to hiding. The bowling lanes servers who are paid $9.80+tips are forced to give up tables in their section for banquets and parties who get paid $22-26+tips and $14-16+tips. Meaning you could come in and stand around for 2-6hrs then be forced to clean it all up just to have the kitchen close an hr later followed by the bar 30 min later. Even though there are server supports, dining hosts, bowling desk hosts, brand ambassador, quality assurance, food runners and drink runners the normal servers are still doing all the work running an avg of 4 miles a shift just to be under paid, under appreciated, and constantly disrespected. If you have a meeting with the GM he will yell at you (even if you have your 4 year old kid on your lap) if he disagrees with what you’re saying then he will lie and give a fake apology once HR is involved.
