Layoffs, twice in six months! - Recensione dipendente - Dipendente anonimo presso Maisonette

Job security is in perils these past six months. You don't know if you will have your job by the end of the day! Out of the blue, management schedules a mandatory all-hands meeting (and never announce anything good in it so we know whenever we see management, something bad is headed our way) and in a couple minutes, they tell people that this is their last day (or last couple hours) at the job, ruining their mental health and that too in December this time when no one is really hiring because everyone is off for holidays! They said we have to let employees go to save the company from "upcoming recession" and then immediately start hiring more people and I have seen this happen after both layoffs. So it doesn't make much sense and honestly, to me, it looks like they are just riding the recession wave and using it as an excuse while they can to cover up their poor planning or budget approvals!
