In the beginning, all seems great at Malt. You seemingly get invited to a four day onboarding in Paris where they teach you about their vision and strategy. But soon it's clear that this company is stuck in their entitled French ways with long lunches, endless meetings for no reason and no vision at all. I had a job with no manager in two of the countries I worked in + my initial manager was fired before I even started. I was way too senior for this role and had manage 3 markets in 3 languages.

I had prepared this role fully and during my brief employment, I kept on asking what the vision and direction for this job was and how everything was going to go. But chaotic and uninspiring managers let me take on projects that they knew nothing about while not guiding me. I kept on getting good feedback until I presented my vision for my role to the General Manager of Northern Europe. Imagine an entitled male leader with no room for a women's opinion that knew everything better. After that meeting, I got fired the week after with no warning and untrue feedback in an online meeting, all the while the HR manager being in the office. I will never ever have a positive word about this company
