At MangoApps, there is a strong emphasis on HR policies. From the outside, the organization appears like a close-knit, happy family, but with deeper involvement, a different reality becomes apparent. The management culture is a significant concern. Several managers foster a toxic environment, where credit is often taken for juniors’ work instead of mentoring and enabling growth. Despite holding the title of technical managers, many gradually move away from hands-on technical responsibilities and operate more through authority, without demonstrating strong managerial or leadership skills. Additionally, the technology stack is quite outdated, which limits learning opportunities and slows down technical growth. A word of caution: don’t rely solely on curated Glassdoor ratings. Read the most recent reviews and those written before 2022 to get a more accurate picture of the organization. Otherwise, you may find yourself facing the same outcome many of us did—unexpected layoffs. The appraisal process is often delayed by 3 to 6 months, mainly due to HR-related coordination issues. Timely reviews and clearer communication from the HR team would significantly improve employee satisfaction and overall transparency within the organization.
