Manpower Services Alberta Ltd - Calgary HO currently faces several challenges affecting employee morale and long-term sustainability. Salaries are significantly below market standards, and there are no structured benefits or performance-based bonuses in place. Increments are almost never given unless employee asks for it several times. CEO prefers to hire Indian employees as they are often cheap and stay there forever. Hence almost 65% employees are Indian, a fully toxic environment. Leadership behavior has also raised concerns—employees perceive favoritism and a culture where only those who agree with executive decisions are retained, while dissenting voices risk termination. Additionally, the company remains technologically outdated, showing resistance to adopting modern systems unless they come at minimal or no cost. This lack of innovation contributes to inefficiency and hinders competitiveness in today’s fast-moving business environment. Overall, fear-based management practices, absence of fair compensation, and reluctance to modernize have collectively created a disengaged workforce.
