Vantaggi

Marriott is an amazing company to work for! First off, they offer great benefits. One of the best things about working for a hotel company was getting discounts on hotel rooms. My dad has worked for Marriott as a general manager for the past 7 years or so and our family has always enjoyed some wonderful discounted vacations at Marriott hotels and resorts. Another great thing about Marriott is that the company does everything they can to keep their employees well trained as well as giving them the opportunity to continue their education and follow their dreams.

Svantaggi

The only downside to working for Marriott was the insurance plans. I didn't feel that they helped out as much as I'd want them to. I broke a tooth one day, so bad that I needed a root canal and even with the insurance, it was going to cost me over $2,000. As a college student, I just couldn't afford to do it so the tooth remained broken for almost three years.

Vantaggi

Everyone on the team was helpful and welcoming. I learned real-world skills that will help in my future career. The work environment was positive and professional. I felt supported by my manager and coworkers. Overall it was a great place to intern.

Svantaggi

Sometimes the workload was slow during certain weeks. There were not always many long-term opportunities after the internship. Some tasks felt repetitive at times. Pay could have been a little higher for interns. Scheduling was sometimes limited during busy periods.

Vantaggi

Department is great! Hours are flexible with respect to workload. Career growth at the company is outstanding as long as you show dedication and commitment to the role.

Svantaggi

"Full time" hourly employees face cuts during off seasons which makes the job posting information about full time hours unclear and is only addressed after the hiring process concludes during orientation and is not highlighted and often quickly discussed to stream light on the perks that do not calculate the negative impact on the factors left out after the fact.
