I can’t speak highly enough about the generosity and adaptability of the Mastermind family. Through the pandemic the company has transformed and pivoted, supporting staff with every step. The last year has been an exciting, rewarding journey with many opportunities for growth! Here are my favorite aspects of Mastermind: • Trustworthy Leadership - The leadership team is true to their word. The development team was promised a bonus for a challenging project deadline. Despite unavoidable setbacks, they rewarded our hard work with a generous bonus. • Transparency - Startups have an inevitable element of unknown especially during a national pandemic. The company has been very transparent about what they are sure of, and what they are still figuring out as the company navigates business decisions like working remote and project milestones. • Company Culture - Mastermind is the most uplifting environment I have ever worked in! The company’s staff truly embodies a spirit of family and friendships. The CTO regularly demonstrates trust in his staff and patience during product launches. • Work / Life Balance - As a company with family values, Mastermind encourages personnel health, well being, and time to take care of personal or family matters. • Personal Development - Staff is regularly given time to learn new technologies and grow. The company cares as much about the employees success as the customer and businesses success. • Mission / Values - My favorite aspect of Mastermind hands down is the mission of creating a better life for its customers through self-education. The owner's wisdom permeates through the leadership down to every colleague.

Theodore Roosevelt said, “Nothing worth having comes easy”. I wouldn’t call these cons, but challenges I’ve been working to improve or learn from include: • Organizational Structure - As a small, fast-paced software team there have been times when two colleagues provided two different instructions, where it was unclear who to take direction from. • Pivots - This is also one of Mastermind’s greatest strengths! Adapting to a sudden project change isn’t always easy, but the pivots have been worth it every time.
