As reflected by the internal financials, Matillion has stagnated and hasn't hit anywhere near their targets in a long, long time. Endless useless meetings, not enough focus on actually getting work done. Leadership constantly changes plans as they don't actually know what is going to fix this. They're generally too detached from the day to day operations to make good decisions. Political middle management who focus more on their position and how they come across in meetings rather than actually getting things done and delivering. Many talented people leaving willingly right now, as they can see the sinking ship. Bad career progression due to minimal promotions and raises (a very small portion of the company may get a 5% raise after years if they absolutely perform above and beyond, though most don't). Also, in general it's not a company that actually cares about allowing you to develop.
