Really smart, hard working team. People work long hours, but they're very passionate about what they do. Compensation and benefits are good. Office location is good - walkable from Penn Station and on the 6 line. Culture is good, but more team building events would be good. The work is challenging, but in a good way. You need a very analytical mind to work there.

Working with Russian engineering is very hard. The time and language barriers slow us down. Software quality could be better, but it's improving. Communication issues across multiple offices globally can be challenging. It's a small start-up. The opportunities for advancement are limited. The air-conditioning - sometimes it's too hot or too cold in different parts of the office.

The dress code was pretty relaxed. The CEO and COO wore shorts and sneakers even though they were in the mid to late 40's. Not much of a pro but hey...neither were they.

Corporate culture was like a snake pit. No one trusted each other. There was little internal communication. The product vision was weak. The egos of C-Level execs were delusional. No one could set a fair price for the product so they didn't sell anything. When things went bad the following happened: 3 CEOs in 18 months. 3 CFOs in 18 months. 3 VPs of Product in 18 months. The Heads of Sales for NA and EMEA left within two years of being there (or were forced out; unclear as the culture is fundamentally duplicitous). The main sales engineers left and all you had was a pit of snakes looking for the next un-empowered employee to bite because management was not full of leaders. Just some people who got lucky riding other people's coat tails.
