Middle management aren’t equipped to deliver value, rely on experience in small business sales which limits strategic selling capability, and discriminate against other members of the team in favour of those they have prior experience with. The same people are rewarded time and time again even when others generate more self-generated ICP pipeline. The ‘do as I say, not as I do’ attitude is also applicable. Commission structure is poor given the lack of ICP territory and cross functional support. Benefits very poor. Marketing function non-existent
