Vantaggi
- Clear promotion structure and transparency around salary bandings for each role - Good, structured training programme - Regular performance reviews and appraisals throughout the year - Fun social events - Free breakfast on Monday
Svantaggi
- Lack of ethnic diversity across the business and in the leadership team. - Microaggressions often occurred (and were targeted at people of colour) - Their stance and social media posts on Diversity and Inclusion are tokenistic and performative. They lack authenticity and do not provide a safe space for their staff from underrepresented and marginalised communities. - Unrealistic KPI targets and expectations - No work-life balance or working from home flexibility (unless you're a senior) - Catty environment; there was a lot of gossiping and bad-mouthing of staff, and this also came from senior leadership - Women and people of colour were held to much higher standards in comparison to their white counterparts and often made examples of/let go in a cruel 'out the back door' way - They'd encourage staff to fill out employee engagement, benefit surveys etc. and then never provide any results, feedback or deliverable actions taken - Micromanagement culture - Imbalance between expectations of different desks and markets, and lack of consideration for differences between average fee - Not open or progressive about employee psychological health and wellbeing. If your mental health was suffering, they'd find a way to remove you from the company and blame you for bringing the team down, rather than address and provide support - Culture of favouritism towards top billers and employees who had been with the company for many years - Toxic culture (promoting excessive drinking, bad-mouthing and becoming romantically involved with your colleagues) with no consideration to your life/commitments outside of work.
