Vantaggi
Friendly talented employee and the staff is very capable and experienced. They have an awesome social committee that focuses on building staff morale through fun company funded activities, including monthly socials, annual staff trip and holiday party. They enjoy spending money on the social committee and even in hard times refuse to let the funding and activities fall through the cracks as this is considered an important company value.
Svantaggi
There is a strong sense of favoritism within an inner circle, where knowing and being managed by the right person will make or break your career. There is one part-time employee for the HR department for a company with 100+ employees located in four major offices across the United States. When an issue or conflict arises in the workplace it is often over looked and goes unresolved because management does not have the time and the one HR person is never there. There is a lack of transparency between upper management and employees which creates confusion and a secretive working environment, which has been leading to employees becoming uneasy about their job security. Although they claim differently about personal growth within the company during your interview, it is actually extremely difficult to move up in the company (unless you work with the right person). They pride themselves about the longevity of their staff, yet they do nothing to aid lower level staff to grow them into the company and set them on a course for upper management. They expect you to help out whenever you can and to take on new work loads without your impute or consent. Consistently employees are working above their capacity and above their pay grade, without compensation. in 2014 their client base increased rapidly and almost all existing employees were overloaded with work as the scrambled to hire to accommodate the workload. As a result in 2015 client satisfaction dropped and two major million-dollar clients did not renew their contracts. With little to no movement in new clients on boarding the company was recently forced to downsize. Regardless if the company is growing or downsizing in both cases upper management is very reactive and there is little strategy or thought put into important decisions that affect individual employees and the long term goals for the company. As much as they claim to value employees and their personal growth, upper management's real focus is on the incoming revenue and they will be the first ones to sacrifice an employee for the greater cause, whether that be a demotion, a heavy work load or a lay off.
