Worked in a few stores, and all of the people have been lovely and truly supportive (on a retail level). Some good benefits if you are full-time (medical etc).

- 'Bonus' is a collective effort between all members of staff to keep it fair, but I've seen targets increase halfway through the month so its harder to reach the bonus threshold. If you have a higher position you get less too. - You get £200 when you join, but only if you're a permanent employee, if you're seasonal you just get the discount. Mind you, I have seen the jewellery increase in price maybe 5 times in the last two years and you only get credit once, makes no sense. Tone deaf since the people working can't actually afford the jewellery but you have to wear it to work. - Part-timers get 0 benefits- 3 days of paid holiday PER YEAR. They all work really hard and they can't even accur holiday which is ridiculous. No guarantee in hours either so always left in limbo in the current cost of living crisis. - Put so much stress on daily targets its suffocating. Reap no reward and stylists are often paid less than London living wage. -Every day you have to write why you did or didn't make target. Every. Day. - They like to hire externally instead of giving promotions to existing employees (something I have witnessed several times) - Refuse to give people recognition they deserve other than the odd bit of store credit to use. - Unless you're a store manager, higher management will ignore your existence and give you no credit for the work you have done. - Focus is all on money and there is a lack of community. - If you or a stylist don't hit your targets every month they will need to go through an 'improvement plan' adding extra stress to every day life at the store. - Higher management expect you to do 10 times the amount of work any other retail environment would make you do for the same pay. - Added extra 'roles' for floor leads where you are assigned a section eg. VM or operations that you take responsibility for but no extra pay?? Which is an excuse for not hiring more people and adding more workload on top of current employees just because they know how to do the job. - Regional managers from the USA will do frequent visits then proceed to micro manage you on the floor and quiz you on everything. A stressful time for all. - Have seen many managers burn out and leave which is sad because they have all been truly talented people.

No brand alignment on standards Corporate partners far out of touch with reality asking teams to change processes every other week and reprimanding teams who fall behind ZERO support with training/ gaps in knowledge Retail partners tell you to reach out with questions but ignore you and reprimand you when you ultimately fail Give your team fewer hours and ask for more operationally resources are outdated, SOPs hard to follow though they add more every day HORRIBLE upper management. No one is qualified for the positions they hold
