The sales organization had meteoric growth over the past years with quotas that were set low to make over achievement the standard. Now the founders are leaving and Cisco is now putting a lot of pressure on management to over reach. The honeymoon is over and now territories are being split rapidly with larger quotas. Many of my peers are in new waters. In this respect, it is not the same company that it was just a few years ago. Over achievement that you see if early stage startup comp plans are gone. Above the free food and ping pong, this was a key part of the old Meraki culture and it is fading with every quarter. The business outlook is up, but not for a sales rep. You can get the same OTE with a better chance at over achievement almost anywhere else. Sad to say.
