Strong engineering cultures, a few bad apples but in general high bar for quality, fun and collaborative environment

Leadership are a bunch of toxic yes men. I include Directors and even some EMs in this. The CEO is present once a quarter, either to read a prompt at all hands or to send a slack message announcing layoffs. His yes-men execs are nepo-babies. The competition is strong and leadership has no plan, really no idea what they're doing. No accountability, all top-down decisions, most of them don't make sense. Shifting priorities, no psychological safety, low pay. No reward for working hard. Not letting go of bad apples. Mass layoffs sending home great people. They think re-writing the app to hacky React Native will attract talent, good luck. Black hole of problems. Avoid.

The larger japanese company is the boss after all. US team switches up working structure & company priorities & strategies very frequently based on direction from japan team.
