Vantaggi

I absolutely love working at Mercer. My line manager is honestly the most emphathetic person I've ever worked with - I always feel valued and supported. The company itself, from the top down, has a great perspective on diversity, equity and inclusion. From the gender neutral toilets (as well as male and female toilets) to the policies and practices that leadership put in place, e.g. 16 weeks paternity full pay! It was only 2 weeks paternity pay at my previous company. Mercer doesn't just 'talk the talk', it puts its beliefs into actual action which is demonstrated in its policies and the way that line management are trained. Aside from that, the company is also innovative and successful in generating new revenue streams. For such a large organisation, it moves quickly. In terms of benefits, the pay is good, the additional benefits like year-end bonus, ISAs at a discounted price, the MMC shares scheme, the private healthcare and the pension are all really great! There's a whole host of other benefits as well - too many to list!

Svantaggi

The only con I can think of is that the technology is a little behind the times. But Mercer are currently working to improve that.

Svantaggi

They don't actually pay bonuses, or at least not to new hires who fall through the cracks of team and project assignments - and they'll claim it's that person's fault with no way to change what's happening around them. Management supports discriminatory and bullying behavior regarding who gets billable work, who attends meetings and on-sites, etc. Mostly, men go and only younger or non-technical women. They had men present women's work as their own. If you protest too much, you're on the radar for life and anything you say can be misconstrued. You'll be told to not criticize or disparage coworkers, even though they all criticize you constantly.
