Vantaggi

Great benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) - multiple options, decent co-pays and deductibles; Good management (competent, technical, and usually only 1 direct manager per team); Strong company, appears to be doing well winning business; And some good people to work with - when they can keep people

Svantaggi

Very underpaid, various people confirm we are at least 10K-15K under the standard on most salary surveys; Elusive pay scales - they do NOT want you to find out where you are in your pay scale; They find any reason limit bonuses, and have been milking the "the economy" reason; Proprietary software - few, if any, transferable skills; NOTICEABLE retention issues - Mercer has an obvious problem with attrition! Younger employees (Mid 30s-) leave usually within 1.5 years or less. Mercer is obviously in denial that they need to PAY well to retain staff (especially strong staff).; India - many jobs are being sent to cheaper Indian workers, further crippling the American economy; Onshore, they have recently been experimenting heavily at doing more with less staff at the same pay.

Vantaggi

paid well, honored sick leave and FMLA, reasonable benefits,

Svantaggi

They don't actually pay bonuses, or at least not to new hires who fall through the cracks of team and project assignments - and they'll claim it's that person's fault with no way to change what's happening around them. Management supports discriminatory and bullying behavior regarding who gets billable work, who attends meetings and on-sites, etc. Mostly, men go and only younger or non-technical women. They had men present women's work as their own. If you protest too much, you're on the radar for life and anything you say can be misconstrued. You'll be told to not criticize or disparage coworkers, even though they all criticize you constantly.
