Poor base salary. You weren’t paid if students cancelled/didnt show up

somewhat decent pay (if you make it past the training and first 3 sales, otherwise completely unpaid) but then again, its all "contract" work with basically is a lazy, dodgy way for them to have staff and not show any respect for them as you will need to get your own abn, deduct your own tax and pay for your own super.

If you like micro-management and hard sales tactics, then this is the job for you! They have been around for 19 years and have a churn through employees like no tomorrow. Be prepared to have every call recorded and pulled apart, being critiqued for not following the script enough and following it too much at the same time. This is a one call close that has a lot of hard sell tactics. Very money hungry management with very little to nil respect for staff (I feel even more sorry for the tutors than the sales team who only get paid if the student shows up to the call). Also some very dodgy google reviews. There are many 1 star reviews from parents and a lot of the responses from Meridian pretend like the parent was never a client saying that they "can't see them in the system" even though the review quite evidently shows that they would have to know enough about how Meridian works to be able to leave the review in the first place. I constantly felt like they were trying to deceive the staff and potential clients. Would not recommend this company to an friend.
