Scrutinized heavily, stricter accountability, slower/blocked advancement • Same work, different outcomes based on who you know 2. Complaints treated as facts without verification. • External complaints are accepted immediately • No one asks the person being complained about for their side • Unverified complaints become part of your record • Reputation damaged by hearsay 3. Performance reviews are gossip-based. • Feedback is vague: “general feedback” • Translation: no specific examples = based on what they heard, not what they observed • High performers with bad internal PR get low ratings • Mediocre performers with good relationships get high ratings 4. Salary increments are underwhelming. • Raises don’t match market rates or performance • Even high performers get minimal increases • Cost of living goes up, salary doesn’t 5.
