9yI want to thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I’m truly sorry to hear about some of your perceptions and experiences while working with us, and I’ll do my best to respond here. Meta is taking all feedback seriously and listening to our employees (present and past). As the company matures we continue to find ways to improve, but I wanted to address a couple of your specific concerns here.
First, Meta is in the process of hiring an experienced Human Resources leader, who will be critical in taking Meta to the next level. Second, we’ve made huge strides to build a comfortable and welcoming work environment, including the free meals and happy hours you mentioned. We are in no way trying to control the reviews our employees post, nor do we delete posts on social media by our employees (in fact, this is not a feature allowed by Instagram or Facebook). I apologize if you feel this has happened to you.
A startup environment isn’t the easiest place to work, and we’ve all been through a lot of pressure to ship our latest product. But we refuse to use this as an excuse and barrier: This company is made up of some amazing people, and we want to make sure they continue to love being part of this colorful team.
