Vantaggi

Pros: - awesome work peers - break room filled with snacks - vendor product presentations - collaboration - unlimited PTO (this is at the discretion of your studio manager) - they make you feel included in many ways from work, to outings, etc.

Svantaggi

Cons: - changes for their drawing standards happen way too often - consistency in communication lacks with upper management - the firm's goals are unrealistic for their lower chain of command - unlimited PTO is questionable - no compensation for any overtime hours (part of having "unlimited PTO") - upper management has their favorites and they make it very clear - major lack of transparency and dishonesty between employees creates mental exhaustion and creates unnecessary tension - expectations of one's own work has to go over and beyond to make it through the tough times at this company & to be noticed as a person - upper management is unprofessional in many ways

Vantaggi

- "Flexible" work schedule - "Unlimited" PTO *these items only apply to some not all unfortunately

Svantaggi

- Underpaid, was told in a meeting that they are not a large firm so they cannot afford to meet industry standard pay for the job tiles. Pay raises were only 1-2% the past year (if you were lucky, some did not get a raise at all) with bonuses being a measly $2,000 (before tax and not everyone got a raise, some got more some got less) for the year and they blamed it on their profits yet the same month they promoted at least 5 people to associates and principals. They also claimed that "company swag" was a benefit we should consider in our package.... - Undervalued and Overworked. Project managers are usually juggling crazy amounts of projects with insane deadlines. Full construction document sets being sent out within 2 weeks, 3 day turnarounds for smaller projects. -Redlining process was terrible, inconsistent, and overwhelming. Every month it seemed like something new would be added to their "standards" and no communication would be sent out. - Upper management is filled with people who have only worked at method their entire career as well as non-licensed architects who barely could give you answers to project questions. Very difficult to get mentored or have a mentor. - The same people get the awards, leadership opportunities and business development opportunities without taking anyone else into consideration. You absolutely have to drink the kool-aid and be "in" with all the associates and principals to even be considered for any opportunities. - They didn't have HR for a long time. Not even sure they ever replaced that person.
