Managers consider themselves on a God level, rather than to be in the same team and provide an inspiration and/or leadership (at least facilitate or help to find a leader in a team). Absolutely strict 9-6 hours if you are taking 1 hour for a lunch time, management considers that as a bad practise. It's totally fine to work with that graphic, BUT you have to declare that in advance and NEVER ever call it a flexible working hours. It is NOT. Supporting of a legacy code is like slavery on galley, it's never finished and no way to avoid or improve it. The last one is the highest turnover that I've ever seen, sales, support (completely crazy pressure), development (they had changed faster that I was able to remember their names). Inside company different groups of people playing in politics, if you are out of that game in some time you will be kicked off. That happened on all levels and most departments.
