Vantaggi

Depending on location, Schedule and Hours (Fridays are half days) Training in EMR PTO,FMLA, Benefits, Co workers, Some Physicians. Once you are there its hard for them to Fire you, I seen plenty no good fish constantly mess up (attitude/behavior) yet they are still there. Great place to learn for Entry level Med field but not for the Long run especially if young. max pay for MA is around 17$ no more for sure entry pay is about 13$

Svantaggi

Pay, initially its okay but other than the yearly raise you wont ever get a raise, even if you are over worked. Sick- depending on office manager, some don't allow you to take off even if you have projectile diarrhea! Understaffed/ No Floats! whine when you get anything passed 40hrs/week NO OVER TIME! even though you are drowning in work because they over work you Rude Physicians! No Bonus!

Vantaggi

Coming from a smaller size hospital but big company like Methodist and known high paying hospital in DFW, I needed more shifts. Since MDMC is bigger than my other PRN, I have higher chance of getting shifts because there are more monitoring stations, more staff taking PTOs, higher chance of staff calling out sick and therefore opening the shift, etc.

Svantaggi

More workload and higher census! Almost 50 patients on heart monitor per station.

We're glad to hear that the flexibility and availability of shifts have been a benefit for you. As one of the region's largest health systems, Methodist offers opportunities that can help PRN team members find the schedule that works best for them. We also recognize that higher patient volumes and workload expectations can come with working in a busy, high-acuity environment. Supporting our team members remains a priority, and we continually evaluate our compensation programs and workplace resources to remain competitive and help our employees succeed. Thank you for the important role you play in caring for our patients and for being a valued member of the Methodist family.
