Pay is competitive, I love the people that I work with, most of the surgeons here are nice. I like working here (Methodist Richardson Medical Center).

Svantaggi

Memorial Day is not paid holiday, HR is slow with hiring new people, health insurance is not competitive with market. Tuition reimbursement is not paid by the hospital 100% (unlike THR).

Coming from a smaller size hospital but big company like Methodist and known high paying hospital in DFW, I needed more shifts. Since MDMC is bigger than my other PRN, I have higher chance of getting shifts because there are more monitoring stations, more staff taking PTOs, higher chance of staff calling out sick and therefore opening the shift, etc.

More workload and higher census! Almost 50 patients on heart monitor per station.
