Metropolis is an oversized parking company that pretends it’s an AI startup. Their ‘AI’ technology is barely better than license plate recognition which has been around for 50 years. The hapless management spends an insane amount on useless McKinsey consultants to stroke their ego and justify their poor decisions. They recently acquired an AI facial recognition company that had to rebrand to Oosto because of the negative press it received for the use of its technology by the IDF to surveil Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
