Exploitive and Toxic - Recensione dipendente - Community Faculty presso Metropolitan State University

CLA is in crisis. The most recent dean was removed from her position after a faculty no confidence vote because she gutted the entire college in order to further her political agenda. She fired many highly rated, hardworking longterm faculty, non-contractually cancelled courses, and harassed and gaslit her staff. Many grievances were filed against her. She is being sued. The university removed her as dean, but promoted her to provost. She managed to do lasting damage during her time in the college and the school will not be the same. It has never been an institution that valued its faculty, but job security is, at this point, non-existent. For an institution staffed by academic Marxists, they have shockingly little regard for workers. I would not recommend working there. I gave it two stars only because course design is fun and rewarding and the students are mostly interesting to work with.
