Micro Center is one of the last hold-outs of real customer service. It's not trying to complete with Walmart or any other big box. The reason a company like this can survive in the age of Amazon and super-heated online commerce is because our customers know they can count on us. Even when we don't know the answer, we do our best to find a solution that works.

Structured training, at least for my position at Westmont IL has been handled mostly as "wing it". My co-workers are super helpful but lack of dedicated training is slowing us down. I wish the company would invest in more overtime to correct this. Yes, it would be expensive in the short run, but pay off huge in the not-too-long-run. This "con" doesn't even come close to the pro's of the overall culture at Micro Center.
