Vantaggi

Nice location in Manassas, Great co-workers, Good benefits, Good for being hired straight out of college, Decent pay, Start visa process early for foreign workers. Overall decent place to start your career, but only as a stepping stone to something better.

Svantaggi

Pay is not commensurate with the cost of living in Manassas, No bonuses / IPP during tough times, which seem to occurring very often lately, Layoffs not handled well, Insane pressure from management, Blatant disregard for so-called company values, Visa processes take forever to complete. Micron has been going through a bad time ever since I started working here. Upper management prefers eliminating bonuses and reducing headcount to compensate for the losses, rather than actually making more quality products. It has come to a point where the same amount of work is being dumped on very few people, yet management insists that "if it's possible, we will do it". It's just not sustainable over a long period. Very soon, all the good employees will voluntarily start leaving, if they don't get laid off first. The recent layoffs were very badly handled, with senior employees and genuinely good contributors to the company were laid off without explanation. Overall a bad work-environment.

Vantaggi

Decent pay, great stock grants and stock purchase plan. You can be at the forefront of memory technology driving today's AI megaboom, and benefit from the high demand (i.e. soaring stock price).

Svantaggi

Little sense of community, lifeless office environment, dead-eyed and overworked employees. "Flexible work arrangements" in name only, as recent policy changes have significantly reduced effectiveness especially if you have a long commute or family life. Too much emphasis on unimportant buzz such as embracing diversity and inclusion is just annoying, but par for the course in today's big tech industry.
