Vantaggi

-Very good transitional workplace for former military -Shift work schedule is great for single people (w/o children or others to care for) -Personal experience w/management has been positive regarding time during work hours to further education.

Svantaggi

-Unconditional attendance is required. Unless you have a good boss (I do, fortunately), don't expect any leeway when your child gets sick. -Big-time "sucker-punch" or "gotchya" culture. Quality development + failure analysis departments hardly go beyond making daily headlines of "who screwed up this time," rather than assist in problem resolution. Unfortunately, these departments are the ones who have the loudest, and often unquestioned, voices. Woe to anyone who works in an actual process department. -Production philosophy is like making a wafer of microchips that costs thousands of dollars is akin to producing a Twinkee. Taking the extra 10 minutes to properly investigating a problem inline is frowned upon, when production quotas are at stake. This ties in well with the last point, because these events typically become the bigger problems that ignite these conflicts.

Vantaggi

Decent pay, great stock grants and stock purchase plan. You can be at the forefront of memory technology driving today's AI megaboom, and benefit from the high demand (i.e. soaring stock price).

Svantaggi

Little sense of community, lifeless office environment, dead-eyed and overworked employees. "Flexible work arrangements" in name only, as recent policy changes have significantly reduced effectiveness especially if you have a long commute or family life. Too much emphasis on unimportant buzz such as embracing diversity and inclusion is just annoying, but par for the course in today's big tech industry.
